I first became interested in Boer goats in 1996, soon after Boer goats
came to WA. I bought my first four fullblood does and one fullblood buck
early in 1997. Always, I have had an eye to the commercial side of the
industry, believing that it is the commercial raising of goats for meat
that must be the driving force. With this in mind I selected my breeding
stock from animals that looked like a meat producing animal.
